From the beginning in 2013, we at Matt Mead Photography LLC “vowed” to NEVER enter the world of wedding photography. You know what they say; Never say never. Last year, we dipped our toe into the proverbial pool and agreed to shoot two weddings. You know what? We learned they could actually be fun! As a result, we kicked off this year with Mike and Kristen Moore’s Masonic Temple wedding in Erie.
After the short ceremony, my assistant and I rode along with the bridal party in their sweet limo. Even though we got some fun shots along the way, we promised not to post those photos on the blog. Sorry 🙁 We chose to do all of the wedding portraits at different locations close to the venue, such as the Erie Art Museum and the Bicentennial Tower on Dobbin’s Landing.
Once we finished the portraits, we headed back to get this Masonic Temple wedding reception started. The hall itself was dark, which presented some serious lighting…challenges. It took some interesting off camera flash positioning to get the lighting just right. However, the DJ’s up lighting really helped to make for some neat effects!
These are just a few of the great moments we were able to capture for Kristen and Mike at their Masonic Temple wedding. We are over the moon with the way they all turned out! If you’d like to see more of our work, check out our portfolio. You can also read about another Erie, PA wedding I photographed.
Finally, we’d like to congratulate Kristen and Mike on their wedding and wish them many happy years to come. You were awesome to work with and we’re honored to have been part of your special day.
