Katrina & Joe’s Fun, Summertime Engagement Photos in Erie PA

It’s exciting to get back to what we love doing: photographing our couples’ engagement photos. However, these engagement photos in Erie, PA were even more rewarding to us. This session’s locations were special to Katrina and Joe and to me and my wife, Teri. Watching the couple, you can tell they are perfect for each other. It was also super fun to meet Marshal, their 3-year-old St. Bernard puppy.

A Hole in One Proposal

The proposal may not have gone as Joe had planned, but it was definitely memorable. It was Memorial Day 2019 and the couple spent most of the day with their families at picnics. Katrina wanted to go home, but Joe kept pushing to go play mini-golf. Finally, the couple went after dark and looking back Katrina is glad she went. After a round of mini-golf, Katrina was ready to get back home, but Joe was not in any rush. As they walked back to the car, Joe pulled Katrina off to the side and got down on one knee. Since he had been saying for months he was going to “fake propose”, Katrina didn’t think it was real. After pulling out the prettiest ring, she knew it was “for real”. Even though she was in shock, Katrina immediately said “yes”. Joe originally planned for his mom and sister to photograph the proposal, there was a misunderstanding, and they missed it. However, they were still able to capture some staged photos.

Engagement Photo Locations in Erie, PA

Harbor View Miniature Golf Course

We did the first part of the session at the Harbor View Miniature golf course, as this is the location of Katrina and Joe’s first date. Whenever possible, I love to photograph couples at spot of their first date because you can see the happy memories it brings back.

Erie Yacht Club

Since we also wanted to get some photos along the water among the boats, we did the second part of the engagement session at the Erie Yacht Club. This is a special location for my wife, Teri, and I because we held our wedding here. Being very familiar with the location, I knew just the right spots.
