union station

Erie's Union Station, constructed in 1927, was a symbol of the railroad's power. Today, it plays host to several cool businesses, including the Brewerie. The Brewerie is a brewpub serving up local craft beer and delicious food. The Art Deco styling contributes to a perfect backdrop for portraits while the Brewerie itself provides great options for wedding receptions. They pride themselves on being able to accommodate pretty much any party, including catering. The Concourse of Union Station makes a beautiful venue for a ceremony; it can seat up to 300.

The Camelot Room is cozy, described as having a "wine cellar feel." It can accommodate 300 in banquet seating or 400 with theatre style seating. The Lodge Room offers a rehearsal before the ceremony with an on-site attendant, as well as dressing rooms for bridal parties. It sits up to 300 with both floor and balcony seating. Finally, the Grand Ballroom is perfect for your reception, featuring a hardwood dance floor—it sits up to 255 in banquet seating.

Our Favorite Portrait Spots in Downtown Erie, PA

modern tool square

A quaint residential area in downtown Erie, Modern Tool Square has plenty of red brick and lush climbing greenery. This makes the perfect backdrop for portraits that are modern yet slightly rustic.

perry square

This area is an expanse of historic city squares in central downtown Erie. Beautiful trees, statues, fountains, and countless cute street corners create ample opportunities for the perfect engagement photoshoot.

bicentennial tower

Set on Lake Erie, this observation tower is renowned for the stunning views it provides. What better backdrop for a local couple's engagement photos than a panoramic view of downtown Erie, the lake, and Presque Isle State Park? The gritty, industrial structure of the tower itself can provide some cool, urban photo-ops too.

Maritime artifacts, sails, art, and, of course, the U.S. Brig Niagara herself create a dynamic setting for portraits. For couples who love sailing, boating, or otherwise spending time on Lake Erie, the Maritime Museum is a no-brainer for portraits.

How can we book you?

You will get both! I photograph every wedding using two different cameras -- one dedicated to black and white and the other to color. The ratio of black and white to color photos you receive in your gallery may change based on your chosen wedding colors, venue, and/or preference. If you see a black and white image that you want in color, or vice versa, it is very likely that I will have it and can add it to your gallery.

I see mostly black and white Photos in your portfolio. will we get ANY photos in color?
