There is a saying that your first love is the sweetest love. That is certainly the case for Jon and Alexsys, high school sweethearts who said "I do" in a Phipps Conservatory wedding. Bridal portraits and the first look took place at the Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh. Jon's reaction to seeing Alexsys in her gown has got to be one of my favorite moments to date.
Of all the stunning greenhouse locations available for weddings at Phipps, the South Conservatory is the most dynamic. This area is home to the conservatory's seasonal flower shows. Pictures taken here will be especially unique, as the displays change regularly. There is also more beautiful glass artwork here that provides a dramatic backdrop.
Botany Hall is surrounded by vibrant, Mediterranean-inspired garden. This area is complete with meandering walkways, curved benches, and a bubbling stone fountain, making this garden an idyllic and peaceful setting for intimate portraits.
For couples interested in a more unique green backdrop to their photos, the Desert Room features plants that thrive in arid desert climates. Exotic varieties of blooming cactus and succulents provide an impressive diversity to the surroundings here, and the setting provides an excellent background for some fun and quirky portrait options.

The tropical forest itself makes a vibrant location for bridal portraits with a variety of bright colors and water features to add life to the shots.
The Broderie Room is a charming setting filled with exquisite romance. Framed by glass and arranged in a style that evokes a classic Louis XIV-era French chateau, this setting provides an elegantly romantic backdrop, ideal for portraits or an intimate wedding ceremony.

You have a couple of options here. First, you can head over to the contact us page, fill out the form, and send it over to us. Or, send us a text message with your name, wedding date, and venue. Either way, we do our best to get back to you by the next business day.
If we're available on your date, we will then set up a time to meet, chat about your day, and create a package that fulfills your wish list. Your and your fiance's signatures on our contract plus a non-refundable deposit officially reserves your date on our calendar.
You will get both! I photograph every wedding using two different cameras -- one dedicated to black and white and the other to color. The ratio of black and white to color photos you receive in your gallery may change based on your chosen wedding colors, venue, and/or preference. If you see a black and white image that you want in color, or vice versa, it is very likely that I will have it and can add it to your gallery.
