Just over a half hour outside of Erie in the Findley Lake area of Western New York, you'll find our next venue spotlight: Pine Junction. (Go here for their website.) With both indoor and outdoor spaces for your ceremony and reception, the peace and calm of the surrounding area would be a perfect backdrop to your important day. The inner reception area brings the outdoor beauty inside with vast windows and high ceilings.

Since Pine Junction is mere miles from both both Sherman, New York and the Peek 'n Peak resort, you and your guests won't lack for places to stay and things to do. Outside the most important thing -- your wedding, of course.

Tucked back in the pine trees off the main New York Snowmobile trail in Chautauqua County, you will find Pine Junction set back 800ft from Bailey Hill Road.

Best known for their beautiful views and unique dining experience, visitors come to Pine Junction from all across the nation to sample the food from their Tavern, in particular their delicious Black Angus burgers, steaks, and homemade desserts.

Pine Junction has been owned by Lonnie and Shirlee since 2006, when they first opened it. Now it's a family business, with their daughter Michelle leading as the General Manager.

Michelle has worked hard and long hours to take Pine Junction from a one room stop to a top-rated dining experience and amazing wedding venue. Michelle personally works with their customers to make their private events a time to remember! She oversees the staff and is a smiling face to greet their customers and make sure her parents' standards are upheld for not only guests but their wonderful staff.

Even the baker at Pine Junction is family. Lonnie and Shirlee's daughter, Marcia, has also been on board since the beginning. She now is their full time baker, making all the delicious desserts from scratch.

So when you sign on with Pine Junction for your wedding, your family is working with their family.

As we mentioned above, you and your family won't lack places to stay or things to do. Within a few miles, you will find the town of Sherman, New York and Peek 'n Peak Resort. Let's look at some of the highlights from each of these.

A Bit about Pine Junction

The Area around Pine Junction

Sherman, New York

Peek 'n Peak

To start, Sherman is conveniently located only a few miles from three lakes: Lake Erie (15 miles), Findley Lake (8 miles), and Chautauqua Lake (9 miles).

Nearby you'll find the Chautauqua Wine trail, which boasts 23 great wineries that stretch along the 50-mile trail that hugs Lake Erie.

You could also quickly jump over to the Chautauqua Institute. Your guests could stay overnight and there are always a ton of activities, lectures, and music events going on during the season. Even off season, it's worth visiting. (Check it out here.)

And really, if you have guests coming into town who have never been to the Institute, they're in for such a surprise. This is a world renowned educational and arts institute like no other.
Again, within a few miles of Pine Junction, your guests can be at a resort that provides year round fun and adventure. With rooms and condos to rent, this is another great option for lodging.

But there's more! The Peek has a spa, a pool, golf, zip lining, rope courses, and more. Family and friends bringing children will really appreciate all there is to do.

Nearby you'll also find horseback riding and plenty of beautiful areas for hiking and long walks.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, by having your wedding at Pine Junction, you'll be inviting your guests to a sort of crossroads. There is something for everyone close by no matter the season.

You have a couple of options here. First, you can head over to the contact us page, fill out the form, and send it over to us. Or, send us a text message with your name, wedding date, and venue. Either way, we do our best to get back to you by the next business day.

If we're available on your date, we will then set up a time to meet, chat about your day, and create a package that fulfills your wish list. Your and your fiance's signatures on our contract plus a non-refundable deposit officially reserves your date on our calendar.

How can we book you?

You will get both! I photograph every wedding using two different cameras -- one dedicated to black and white and the other to color. The ratio of black and white to color photos you receive in your gallery may change based on your chosen wedding colors, venue, and/or preference. If you see a black and white image that you want in color, or vice versa, it is very likely that I will have it and can add it to your gallery.

I see mostly black and white Photos in your portfolio. will we get ANY photos in color?
