When Michele approached me about taking her wedding photos, I was thrilled. She’s a longtime friend of mine, and it was an absolute privilege to help celebrate her engagement to Dave with a photo session. The pair came prepared with some beautiful location suggestions and their dog, Mya! Combine all these factors with a beautiful couple, and you have the recipe for excellent engagement photos in Erie, PA. I’m so happy that I was able to play a role in their incredible love story.
From “Partners in Crime” to Partners in Life
Michele and Dave’s romance is one for the ages. The two met in high school and briefly dated in their twenties. Although they would lose touch for over a decade, Dave rekindled the romance by inviting Michele to Andy’s Pub. Two years into their relationship, they knew that they never wanted to grow apart again.
The big proposal happened when Michele was least expecting it. After returning home from taking Mya to the vet, she found Dave sitting on the porch and joined him. She had recently planted rose bushes in their garden, and in a classic “made you look!” moment, Dave told her that something was eating her brand new landscaping. When Michele finished investigating, she turned around to see Dave ready with a ring.
Since Mya inadvertently played a role in Dave’s master plan, it felt only right that she would be present for the pictures. We headed to the foot of Lincoln Avenue, a cozy location that offers stunning views of two Erie staples. The location came recommended by one of Dave’s best friends and is a favorite part of my morning runs!
Engagement Photos in Erie, PA
Erie Yacht Club
Is there any view more iconically Erie than boats floating on the water? The backdrop of boats on the water add plenty of depth and sparkle to every photo. The EYC is one of our favorite wedding venues in Erie. Taking Erie engagement photos here allowed us to get wedding-worthy shots with local flare.
Presque Isle Bay
Our station at Lincoln Avenue also allowed us to take advantage of the Presque Isle Bay. By placing the body of water in the background of our photos, we captured its beauty without having to deal with the wind and cold that can come with getting too close this time of year.
