If I have learned one thing through the years of being an Erie, PA wedding photographer it is this: Meeting a soulmate isn’t always an ah-ha moment. There is a bit more subtly involved. No fireworks or birdsong erupt in the background cluing you into the fact that this meeting is one that will forever change the course of your life. Julie and Chris just happened to be at the same place at the same time. Talk about serendipity!
When You Aren’t Looking
At the time of their meeting, Julie was on the cusp of another kind of major life change. She was considering moving back to Erie, PA to be closer to her friends and family. However, a chance meeting at a friend’s birthday party had her reconsidering her plans. A week later the couple met again on a double date which eventually led them to plan their beautiful Erie PA Masonic Temple wedding.
It All Comes Together
Julie and Chris have been together now for six years. In that time they discovered all that there is to know about each other. They are both avid lovers of outdoor adventure. It was on their first camping trip to Raystown Lake that Julie realized that she had found her forever in Chris. Something that Chris says he had known since their very first date.
In 2017 while attending a Pittsburgh Pirates game, Chris asked Julie’s Dad for his permission to propose. Apparently, her Dad was fully supportive because in late June Chris proposed at Julie’s family’s camp on Lake Erie.
An Erie PA Masonic Temple Wedding
I was the lucky wedding photographer that Julie and Chris chose to capture the memories of their blessed day. A beautiful ceremony at the Erie First Assembly of God Church was followed by a reception in the Grand Ballroom of the Erie PA Masonic Temple. Complete with Jameson and Bailey’s favors, the Irish themed wedding was as fun and enchanting as the couple had dreamed. I feel honored to be included in Julie and Chris’ magical day.
