Jen and Tim’s Intimate Wedding at Home in Erie PA

It is a joy to get to share so many lovely wedding days with happy brides and grooms. However, it was an extra treat to photograph Jen and Tim’s intimate wedding at their home in Erie, PA because I had also photographed their engagement session! While I’m always honored to be part of any aspect of a wedding, getting to see Jen and Tim’s full journey as a couple was truly special.

An Intimate Wedding in Erie, PA

Jen and Tim met on the Meet Me app in 2018 and quickly fell in love. Tim proposed a little under a year later at a special spot at Niagara Falls. Soon after, I got the chance to photograph their engagement session at Jakes Rocks.

I was thrilled to get to photograph the wedding as well and see Jen and Tim again. Jen and Tim originally planned to have a large wedding, but like many couples this year, they had to decide to either postpone it or change their plans. They pivoted to holding an intimate wedding in their backyard in Erie, PA. They renovated their home specifically for the wedding, and the result was a beautiful day with close family and friends. Though it might not have been their original plan, the wedding was lovely and a showcase of their home and their new life together.

Photography Locations

After the ceremony, we hit the road to get some more photographs of the newlyweds! To take photos of the bridal party, we went to Wintergreen Gorge, a trail running alongside Four Mile Creek. The wooded trail was a perfect place to show off Jen’s stunning white dress.Bride and groom embrace at Wintergreen Gorge in Erie, PA

Next, we headed to the campus of Penn State Behrend. We took pictures on the lush green campus. It wasn’t all work and no play, though. At the end of the shoot, we toasted to the happy couple with champagne. Photographing Jen and Tim in both locations ensured they have a variety of photographs to look at to remember their special day. I was so excited to be able to capture the first moments of their married life and toast to their bright future together.
