A Special Barn at Conneaut Creek Wedding with Brianne and Kris

It is always exciting to photograph familiar faces, and this is one of the reasons that made Brianne and Kris’s Barn at Conneaut Creek wedding special to us. Last year we met Bri and Kris at her brother’s wedding, which we photographed. Bri and Kris were in the bridal party, so it was special to also capture them on their wedding day. It’s a joy for us to be the Erie, PA wedding photographer for such a fun family!

You Had Me Since the Head Bash

Kris and Bri hung out with the same friends from high school, but there was never a spark until a five-year class reunion. It was the after-party, so to speak, as one of their friends invited everyone to his house after the reunion. After Bri and Kris talked until 7 AM that night, they realized there was a connection. As Kris was leaving that night, Bri decided to make the first move and kiss him. Coming up with a cute way for the first kiss, she decided to push him against his truck and give a kiss. Well, this did not go as expected. Kris ended up bashing his head on the door! Bri had never been so embarrassed, but she laughs 5 1/2 years later “I’m still embarrassing myself!”

From the First Date to a Winter Wonderland Proposal

After the head bashing incident, Kris asked Bri on an official date to Andy’s Pub to watch the Pens game. Fast-forward five years and he was proposing! As the couple talked about their proposal, you could imagine it being a magical moment. Bri had always wanted to visit Presque Isle in Maine during the wintertime. In February 2019, her dream came true! Kris and Bri went Presque Isle to walk along the beach and see the winter wonderland of all the icy and frozen scenery. While enjoying the scenery, Kris popped the question.

The Barn at Conneaut Creek Wedding

The rain was no match for the celebration of the love connection between Brianne and Kris. Although the plan was to have the ceremony on the porch of the main lodge, rain forced us to move into the barn. Despite the rain, we did decide to shoot the bridal photos outdoors at the railroad bridge that crosses Conneaut Creek. The rain did not stop stunning photographs in this picturesque setting.
