Victoria and Shawn’s Erie Yacht Club Wedding

I recently reconnected with Victoria and Shawn at their stunning Erie Yacht Club wedding. It feels like just yesterday I was taking their engagement photos — I can’t believe that the big day has happened already! The wedding day was filled with surprises, but that didn’t stop the pair from having a gorgeous celebration. The huge storm throughout the ceremony was accompanied by huge smiles, and I was so honored to be the photographer they chose to capture every moment. Here are some of my favorite pictures from their unforgettable day.

The Perfect Park Partner

After Shawn heard about Victoria through a mutual friend, he knew he had to take her on a date. Their shared love of the outdoors led them to a long bike ride — the first of their many adventures together. From cycling to hike, to taking their puppy for a walk, Shawn and Victoria were quickly inseparable.

It wasn’t just in the great outdoors that they were side by side, however. Three years into their relationship, Victoria faced major health problems and ended up in the hospital. As she described, Shawn was there to make her feel “so taken care of, loved, and safe.” It was right then that Victoria knew she had found the One, and her instincts were right! A year later, the pair got engaged.

The day of the big question started like any other. Victoria and Shawn took their dog on one of their favorite hikes, to the gorge. When they arrived at the scenic overlook, Shawn got down on one knee and showed Victoria the prettiest “rock” in the park!

The Erie Yacht Club Wedding

Between Victoria’s broken foot and some crazy rainstorms, it’s safe to safe that the Erie Yacht Club wedding day was a little bit hectic. It may not have been exactly what they planned, but it’s hard to argue that it was anything but perfect. The happy couple’s smiles shined through every raindrop, and the day ended with a sunset that rivaled that of their engagement session! I’m confident that this sweet duo will be able to weather any storm and have an incredibly happy life together.
