Abbey and Kyle’s First Presbyterian Church Wedding in Waterford, PA

Abbey and Kyle’s appreciation for historic charm inspired their choice of venues and their wedding shoot. They held their ceremony in the gorgeous First Presbyterian Church in Waterford, PA, followed by a reception at the Brewerie at Union Station. Their love for each other shined through in their photos, even with some unplanned weather!

First Presbyterian Church Wedding in Waterford, PA

Abbey and Kyle said “I do” in front of their closest friends and family at Waterford’s First Presbyterian Church. This church is a true piece of living history; the original wooden beams from the 1800s construction can still be seen in the vestibule. I love it when wedding couples choose places with personal and historical significance for their ceremony venue. Historical venues remind us how love and commitment can allow our relationships to withstand the test of time.

Staying Calm at the Waterford Hotel

Kyle proposed to Abbey at the Waterford Hotel, which is a lovely hotel and bar in Waterford. Full of local charm and in-keeping with Kyle and Abbey’s desire for a meaningful wedding experience, we chose to do their bridal photos here.

You know what they say—if it rains on your wedding day it’s good luck! Rain does make taking photographs a little more challenging for me, but luckily I found this wonderful stairwell inside the hotel. We were able to finish taking their bridal photos and capture their love for each other.

Historic Reception at the Brewerie

After leaving the Waterford Hotel, we moved on to the reception at the Brewerie at Union Station. It’s one of Erie’s first brew pubs and restaurants housed in the historic Union Station. Built in the 1920s, the whole place has this speakeasy/art deco vibe, which fit Abbey and Kyle’s historic charm wedding!

Most importantly, it was the perfect place for Abbey and Kyle to celebrate their wedding with all their friends and family. Surrounded by loved ones in the present, in a place full of charm, and hope for their future, I have no doubt they will have a long, happy, and loving marriage.
