2021 is already flying by! It won’t be long before we are celebrating Teagan and Andrea’s wedding on September 4. I was thrilled to hear of their interest in winter engagement photos in Erie, PA. It was a great way to build up the anticipation for what is sure to be a stunning fall wedding day. I’m confident that the pair has an incredibly bright future ahead of them, and it was an immense privilege to capture them at the beginning of their journey.
From Fifth-Grade Friends to Lifelong Loves
Andrea Evanoff and Teagan O’Sullivan first met in fifth grade — many moons ago for these two, who just graduated from college. The pair’s 2011 first date was to the movie theater, where they enjoyed seeing Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams in The Vow. Although Andrea shared that she’s always known Teagan was the one, the pair had no way of truly knowing about the vow they would make together over a decade later.
On October 11, 2020, Andrea and Teagan were enjoying a camping vacation in Benezette. They went for a hike up the mountain with their dog Murphy and when they reached the top, Teagan popped the question! Andrea says that she hardly remembers what Teagan said because she was so excited. Still, the proposal was perfect. Because neither of them likes too much attention, they were happy to have the moment to themselves.
Despite their love of privacy, I have to say that the camera loves them!
The Erie PA Winter Engagement Photos Inspiration and Locations
Frontier Park
Our first stop was the beautiful Frontier Park. We loved it for the stunning scenery and photo opportunities, and seven-month-year-old Murphy seemed to appreciate it for all of the new smells!
Leading up to the day of our session, we had been hoping for some snow to make the winter shoot complete. We certainly got what we wished for!
Gannon University Campus
We wrapped up the day at Erie’s Gannon University campus. Both Andrea and Teagan become Gannon alumni this year. Who knew that the hallways of fifth grade would lead to couple’s photos at this gorgeous campus? The urban campus is right in the heart of Erie’s downtown, and its beauty has only grown since it was first built in 1925.
