As photographers in Erie, Pennsylvania, we have had the privilege of capturing many wedding and engagement photos. Through my work as a photographer, I love getting to meet new people and capture their love stories. I had this opportunity once again shooting the Frontier Park engagement photos of Lydia Zibelman and Matt Wethli. This lovely couple was a treat to work with and their photos turned out beautifully.
Lydia & Matt
Lydia and Matt have been together since December 23, 2016. The lovebirds met the night of their first date, after being set up by co-workers. On their first date, the pair went to Toys”R”Us. Matt used to work there and charmed her by helping to pick out a Christmas gift for her nephew. Afterward, the two went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Flyers vs. Capitals game. That night, Lydia teased Matt for his drink of choice, Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. However, this beverage has now become one of Lydia’s favorites as well. The first date was definitely a success and the couple has been going strong ever since. Together they love hanging out with their mini Golden Retriever named Kingsley, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with both of their families. These two were made for each other and can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together!
The Proposal
Matt popped the big question on May 25, 2019. The couple were on vacation in North Carolina. After going to a restaurant in Wrightsville Beach, the pair took a stroll along the beach after nightfall. One minute Lydia was enjoying the moment at the beach, writing in the sand. The next minute, when she looked up and turned around, Matt was down on one knee. Of course, she said, “YES!”
Fall Engagement Photo Inspiration at Frontier Park
Working with this couple was a blast. I loved getting to capture their engagement photos at Frontier Park. The park is home to beautiful scenery and landscapes, which serve well as engagement photo backdrops. I was able to take the couple to one of my favorite spots in the park, along Cascade Creek. We also captured some great photos under one of the giant willow trees. At the end of the day, the beautiful fall colors and gorgeous couple produced some photos that can only be classified as engagement photo inspiration. Can’t wait to see what their Erie PA wedding has in store!
