..Wow, what a year 2022 has been! We can all agree the last two years have been challenging! But thanks to many moments and experiences, 2022 has us feeling like the world may be returning to normal (we hope!)
For us, 2022 included some fantastic and memorable highs and heartbreaking lows. It was a year spent in equal parts of travel, adventure, and sweet cozy moments at home. We’ve said it before, and we’ll repeat it for eternity: life isn’t made up of perfectly curated moments ready for social media. Life is made up of beautiful, challenging, and sometimes gut-wrenching moments.
One of our highs this year was our first-ever wedding in Mexico! Jen and Eric’s dreamy wedding at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya was one for the books. We are so grateful to have been a part of their romantic vows on the beach, with sand between our toes and the endless turquoise water stretched out in front of us. We’ve definitely caught the destination wedding bug!
Another highlight of 2022 was our 10th wedding anniversary and vow renewal in the gorgeous wine country of Northern California. Spending that time with one another and our closest friends was so meaningful for us, and it was such a memorable weekend of solidifying our marriage.
While we had many incredible highs, our year was also bittersweet due to the loss of our sweet Regal Beagle, Zoe. She totally lived up to her moniker of the Regal Beagle. It was HER world, and we were living in it. And the only way to her heart was through food. That’s right. No food, no love. Zoe spent her days lounging on the back of our couch, watching the world out the window and investigating EVERY DAMN scent throughout our backyard. Zoe was our sun, moon, and stars, and she always will be.
Aside from some difficult times, our year overflowed with love. Meeting all of you and capturing your dearest memories is always one of our greatest joys. This year was no exception. So, thank you. Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for inviting us into your homes, parties, and lives. Your hearts are forever imprinted in ours, and we will always be so grateful for 2022.
